Yes Smraedis, but in all fairness you already were a GW player :wink: .  Unlike everyone else in the team, apart from STG.

Couldn't be helped, had to be done. I was walking around with a smug grin on my face all day, knowing that the only 100% record in the whole tournament belongs to our team. ^_-

Was a bit lucky though. I thought SiK would have sneaked in a last minute update while I was at work, and javel came close to nipping the top spot.

End of stage bonuses and the medal count are the two most important factors for scoring in GW. The EOS is greatly improved by a big medal count and keeping a good number of bombs in stock; while the medal count itself improves in-stage scoring as it multiplies an enemy's base value and the points gained from Shot impact - the higher your medal count, the more points you get per kill.

Like I stated at the beginning of the week, no-missing and no-bombing play a huge part in scoring, simply because a no-miss, no-bomb should give your medal chaining a big boost. Plus, with rank being a lot higher because of this, bosses become easier to milk as turrets stay alive for a lot longer (definitely noticeable with st3 boss).

When I destroyed the st6 boss en-route to the 83tril, I had two bombs in stock and had a 24mil medal count, and got something like 34tril as a bonus. You can definitely get more if you have more bombs in stock. The st5 and 6 bosses in particular are very good for scoring if you destroy them as quickly as possible.

My only regret this week was that I didn't realise what made the st3 boss so easy to kill during the early part of the week until Saturday night/Sunday morning. FYI, I used to bomb once on the st3 midboss to make it easier to milk, which in turn dropped rank so severely that the st3 boss could be destroyed with 40 sec left on the clock. I didn't put 2 and 2 together with regards to rank until the weekend.

I really struggled with the game for most of the week prior. -_-;;
