Been a while since I put anything up on this thread.
So lets have some Thunder Cross. ^_-

First up is a first-loop tour-de-force with some exceptional scoring. Didn't think Bound Shot worked so well in this game but it does, and didn't realise there were secret things hidden in some of the stages, either.

There's also a four part showreel of a 10mil+ replay up, too.

Some Thunder Cross 2.
There's two sets of replays up featuring different players on, but they both show high-level play.

If there's one thing I'd really like to know, it's how do they bunch their Options up so tightly like that? It makes killing bosses so much easier, but it seems really hard to do (unless its a control technique I don't know yet). Answers on a postcard, people. ^_-

Finally, YYY did a No Option play of the game.

A nice little high-scoring run of R-Type Leo by Japanese player BGR-44, scoring 5,745,240.

Two rather insane showreels for Sexy Parodius, showing first boss bellfarming techniques for Hikaru, Mambo, Koitsu-enabled Option, Vic Viper, and Michael. Crazy stuff.

Finally! A decent scoring run of the Japanese version of XEXEX.

There's a few individual stages up on there too, I'll check them out later and see if they're any good.

And while we're on the subject of the player AZI, I found his Armed Police Batrider Advanced Course run up on nicovideo, done with a team. Haven't watched it all yet (as the network I'm at at the moment is slooooooooow) but judging from what I've seen for the first stage and battle against Conflict, he much have pulled off a good score.

His team, interestingly enough, appears to be Grasshopper (A), Chitta (C) and Shorty (B), in that order. o_O

All the links here:

pt2: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm4472514
pt3: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm4472604
pt4: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm4472682
pt5: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm4472799 <-- starts with E,05mil, on stage11

EDIT: Cleared with G,114,400. Potential for a higher clear as he was dropping medals all over the place in the last stage.

Nice find, that's a slick player right there, especially his dodging skills on the more difficult bosses.

Like you noted, the ship selection is quite frankly bizarre.  I can kinda see how grasshopper works for him and maybe chitta has some useful aspects, but surely shorty is just a weaker version of strawman?

Good watch anyway, sorta makes me want to get back on to batrider if I wasn't so busy at the mo.

A pretty competent Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu Black Label run.

Stage 5 looks pretty mental - thousands of bullets, screen-crawling slowdown, occasional glitching.
Would love a go at it someday.
